A high watermark is a point at which Callisto Capital begins to earn performance fees. If the value of the investment rises above the high watermark, the high watermark is increased. If the value of the investment falls below the high watermark, Callisto Capital must first ensure that the total amount of the investment rises above the high watermark again before performance fees can be settled again.
The NAV stands for Net Asset Value and is calculated on a monthly basis. This is also the time when deposits, additions and withdrawals can be made. At Callisto, this is the first business day of the month.
Callisto Capital maintains a minimum participation amount of €100,000. This is because Callisto Capital falls under the AIFMD registration regime. For this type of funds, the AFM states that the minimum amount per participant is €100,000.
This is because Callisto Capital is registered under the AIFMD regime, which means Callisto Capital is considered a light-fund. One of the conditions that a light fund uses is a minimum participation amount of €100,000. In short, Callisto Capital is registered with the AFM but does not fall under the supervision of the AFM. New participations, deposits and withdrawals take place at the so-called NAV moment. The NAV moment takes place once a month and at Callisto Capital this is the first business day of the month.
Although Callisto Capital trades cryptocurrencies, it is not possible to transfer cryptocurrencies directly to the fund. You will first have to sell them for euros and then transfer them to the fund's IBAN bank account. But before you can deposit money into the fund you will first have to complete the mandatory CDD.
As mentioned earlier, we work closely with our independent fund administrator Asset Care. Not only do they have visibility into the assets and performance of the fund, but also into all actions and transactions that are made.
